The bioethanol fireplace is an innovative way to heat. It runs on a very high-quality extra-fine alcohol, itself made from beet we distil ourselves. With the Pur-Ethanol solution, combine a green burn with ease of use.

What is a bioethanol fireplace?

A bioethanol fireplace is simply a fireplace that uses ethanol as its fuel. Pur Ethanol produces a “bioethanol”: an agricultural ethanol that respects the environment.

There are several types of bioethanol fireplace:

  • Built-in bioethanol fireplaces. Your fireplace can look like a conventional one, set into a wall. It needs a casing to be built, and installation is not the easiest.

  • Free-standing bioethanol fireplaces. The advantage of these is that they can go wherever you like and follow you into any room.

  • Wall-mounted bioethanol fireplaces. A bracket holding the fireplace 2 to 3 cm from the wall is needed. To insulate the back of the fireplace, ask for a fire guard kit when you buy it.

Why choose a bioethanol fireplace?

First of all, ethanol fireplaces are an economical solution. You can get your bioethanol fireplace from €35. More than that, over the long term your bioethanol fireplace will save you a significant amount compared with traditional heating.

For your safety, note that your Pur-Ethanol bioethanol bottles must not be stored close to your bioethanol fireplace. Make sure no flammable fabric is left near the appliance.

Decorative, attractive and a source of warmth, bioethanol fireplaces stand out as perfect alternatives to conventional fireplaces, which need a fairly substantial stock of wood. They avoid the constraints of wood heating and give you a fire space that is always clean.

Environmentally, the bioethanol fireplace helps reduce air pollution and therefore global warming.

The only downside: it can only be lit for six hours in any 24-hour period.

So, when are you switching to bioethanol?
