Have you been given conflicting opinions about this fuel? Do you find it hard to believe that <a href=\"\/en\/premium-quality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>Pur Ethanol bioethanol<\/strong><\/a> could come from French farming? Whatever your situation, you deserve to know THE WHOLE truth, and nothing but the truth, about this rather special fuel.\n<h2>Here are the myths about bioethanol heating:<\/h2>\n<ol>\n \t<li><strong><strong>Bioethanol is toxic. FALSE!\n<\/strong><\/strong>\n<strong>Bioethanol<\/strong> produces carbon dioxide and water vapor, exactly like breathing.\nThe danger would come from an <strong>incomplete burn<\/strong>: when the flame burns in a room that is too small (under 9 m\u00b2) and poorly ventilated \u2014 exactly as with any other form of heating, be it a fireplace, a stove or a boiler.\n\n<hr \/>\n\n<\/li>\n \t<li><strong>Bioethanol heats poorly. FALSE\n<\/strong>\nA <strong>bioethanol fireplace gives out around 3000 W of heat<\/strong>, the equivalent of two electric radiators. For reference, a <strong>bioethanol<\/strong> flame reaches 300\u00b0C, compared with 1200\u00b0C for a wood fire \u2014 but half of that heat escapes up the flue.\nBioethanol is therefore recommended as <strong>effective supplementary heating<\/strong>, since it adds 3 to 4 degrees very quickly: 1.5 litres of <strong>bioethanol<\/strong> gives between 3 and 4 hours of heat. The pleasure of a real flame, without the odors!\n\n<hr \/>\n\n<\/li>\n \t<li><strong><strong>The risk of a flash effect is very high. FALSE\n<\/strong><\/strong>When bioethanol is left at room temperature in the burner for several hours, or when <strong>bioethanol<\/strong> is added while the <strong>fireplace<\/strong> is running, a flash effect \u2014 a sudden, impressive flare \u2014 can occur. As with any combustion appliance, we recommend following the instructions for use: wait a reasonable time for the burner to cool before relighting; do not put your head or hands over the burner; use a special long lighter, usually supplied with the fireplace. And do not pour the <strong>bioethanol<\/strong> straight into the burner.
