Sugar beet is a biennial crop, meaning it develops over two years. It can be harvested during the first year of growth, in autumn. That is also when sugar is present in the greatest quantity.\n<h2>How do you go from beet to bioethanol?<\/h2>\nWe make <strong>our fireplace bioethanol<\/strong> from a sweet syrup extracted from sugar beet. This so-called \u201clow purity\u201d sweet syrup is a molasses that has to be fermented.\n\nObtaining a <a href=\"\/en\/about-us\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><strong>quality bioethanol<\/strong><\/a> that meets the standards of <strong>Pur-Ethanol<\/strong> takes several stages. <strong>Fermentation yeasts<\/strong> are added to the molasses before the <strong>distillation<\/strong> stage. That gives a raw alcohol of natural origin.\n\nFinally, the <strong>dehydration<\/strong> stage removes the last water molecules. The <strong>organic fuel<\/strong> obtained is then purer and more concentrated in alcohol.\nObtaining a 96% denatured alcohol marks the end of the production process.\n<h2>French production, an eco-friendly product<\/h2>\nFrance is one of Europe\u2019s largest producers of sugar beet.
